    Barbara Areces is a judge of the Florida 11th Circuit Court. Her current term ends on January 2, 2029.

    Areces won re-election for judge of the Florida 11th Circuit Court outright in the general election on November 8, 2022, after the primary and general election were canceled.

    She was first elected to the circuit court on August 31, 2004, defeating incumbent Judge D. Bruce Levy. Her official investiture ceremony followed on February 10, 2005. She ran unopposed and was retained in the August 24, 2010 primary to a six-year term.[1][2][3][4][5] She again ran unopposed and was retained in the 2016 election.[6]
